    Tags: Chill day

Today we had a chilled out day. Tom went to watch the wrestling with his brother at excel and Ant met up with some players from Bridgfiled and watched some water polo.

I took the three remaining lads to Harrods to see the biggest and most expensive shop on the UK.

When we arrived it was lunch time do we headed to Harrods food court and turned right back round again and went to the Mc Donald’s down the road.

We then headed back into the shop and had a look around. We Saw some amazing quality TVs which looked unreal, some gold plated IPhones and James also found his way to the kids section and had to be dragged away from the remote control car!

Lewis then spotted a sign for the ice cream parlour and dragged us to it. He got a chocolate milkshake for £7.50 and the rest just got a straw and nabbed some.

With a busy time we have had in London we headed back home to chill and watched a couple of films while I had a kip on the sofa. Once Tom came back James and I made salmon for tea, watched another film then the night got wired.

Lewis hair gelled everyones hair, including mine (?) then a water fight broke out on the bathroom and everyone was thinking of something to get Ant with on his return but it never happened as everyone was in stitches laughing.

At 1am everyone hit their beds .

Today we decided to go back to Hyde Park as we wanted to see if we could get into BT London Live which had big sreens, lots of food places and live bands on later at night.

We got the the park around 2pm and had a walk around till we got to the big walls surrounds the BT area. We started walking around and found out we had to walk all the way around, but someone caught a gimps at our accreditation and took is in a VIP entrance.

When we got inside it was massive! There was 1 big stage with a big screen on and several smaller screens, plus lots of food places and thousands of people.

The lads went for a walk around the park and Ant and I watched the tennis. Someone who works at BT saw my status on Facebook about being at Hyde Park and he got us VIP tickets for the bands later on during the day. So we collected them and headed to our very on 20ft by 20ft stage where we were higher then everyone else and sat and watched Team GB win three gold medals.

After that we sat and listened to the Live bands play before heading back on the underground home. The sun was out it was very hot and we enjoyed a long day out in the park!

    Tags: A day out

A day out was in the bag for today as we spent the last two days training, but Ant and I had to go to Carney Wharf for Safeguard training before we could all head out!

We got back to the house and the lads had done some house cleaning (score 7/10) and were watching some of the Olympic converge on the box so we decided to head out. We headed to Hyde park and saw the end of the cycling. It was packed and James and Lewis went up on shoulders so two of us could see the bikes passing.

After that we headed to Bond Street to grab the underground. The streets were packed and there was so many people and vehicles around. On the underground Tom spot Simon Mignolet, Sunderland goalkeeper and got a quick picture with him.

Something smells good… teas ready, Ants treating us to fajitas tonight…….

Today we travelled down to London for the start of our Olympic experience. We got to our house around 8pm. The four lads went out to get some food in for breakfast then came back and unpacked.

After unpacking and settling down we went to explore the area and found out it was quite a busy, popular place. We found a place to eat and had our first meal together. Eating in tomorrow night, that should be interesting (well the cooking!).

Tomorrow we head to the Olympic Park for the first time in our uniform for our training day.

It was the last time we would go to London for training, before we head there for the Olympic Games.

It was just a day training all about venue specific which consisted of, all about the aquatic sports for the first three hours, which we had a tour of the venues and then we finished of at the water polo arena and went over the final arrangements.

    Olympic Stadium on our tour.

After our busy rushed day we had to run from the underground to the train, which we made with about 30 seconds to spare, all out of breath and not smelling our best as we had our deodorant taken off us at security at the Olympic Park.

There is only 15 days till we travel back to London for the Olympic games and I’m counting down the days! :D

We went to London the other day for some training but also, for what we have been waiting for, kit collection day! We were up early, travelled back and fourth on the underground and even experienced the underground how it will be when the Olympics are on; crammed full with people and boiling… (this time we nearly lost Scott).

After 3 hours in a cinema watching Orienteering training and the Mc Donald’s sign being up all the time, the lads wanted a Mc D (well Salty wanted Burger King?) so we went off for some food and the lads even went to M and M world and they enjoyed it loads! (ok so did Ant and I).

We are back in London on Sunday, then thats it no more day or weekend training but the real thing! ONLY 23 DAYS TO GO.

    Having fun at M & M world

    Tags: Rock Climbing

Yesterday we had a rock climbing session. This was real fun and everyone seemed to find it easy and no one fell….. well that was apart from me, about 10 times! We had several climbs, first one being blind folded, then we moved on to harder walls and finished off with some free from ropes, cave climbing.

It was a good laugh, at my expense of being RUBBISH!!
